I am planning on building a jazz bass with a mahogany body and a quilted maple top. Fender single coil jazz passive pups. Give me your opinions on how the mahogany might affect the tone. Thanks.

Excellent choice... my LeFay Singer has that combo. Takes abit of the maple/ash bite outta things. Nice full bodied tone.. of course the neck matters, too.
