March NYC Mini-Get-Together.

Discussion in 'Off Topic [BG]' started by Michael Jewels, Feb 28, 2006.

  1. OK, guys & gals, March is here, so let's see if we can hook up again for some informal eats and an amber liquid or two before the month's over.

It seems that Friday is the most convenient day for the majority, and this month we have March 17th to consider. I usually try to avoid crowded places on St. Patrick's Day, but then again it might be convenient for some of you, who may already be in the city.

On the plus side: Many people in a festive mood! :hyper:
On the negative side: An excess of annoying drunks! :spit:

    What do you think?

Anyone reading this is invited to attend. :)

Hmmm... and it's my birthday even :hyper:

we just had 2 guys quit, and I'm scheduled to be in midnight to 8am that night (trying to get off).

mark me as a solid no with a flicker of hope :)

  4. Are you guys referring to the 17th?

I was reffering to a Mini GTG , if the 17 does not work we can make for some other date.

  7. I'm starting to think that the 10th or 24th might be better.

    Everyone check their calendar. ;)

I've got a pretty busy schedule this semester, but I'd like to come. I can do the 17th, but probably not the 10th or 24th

rather not do amateur night, 3/17.
10th or 24th would be better.

    Good idea Dave !

  14. Agreed.

Most pubs will be full on Paddy's Day, but any pub with an Irish name (assuming we go to the old standby, O'Flaherty's) will be full to the rafters!

They'll be almost no chance to sit and talk casually that night, so I'd vote for either the 10th or the 24th too.

    Mike

P.S. Where have you been, stranger? :)

    I vote 10th, as I have a gig on the 24th.

    Hows about a Saturday night?

  18. Saturday night is fine with me, but it interferes with the schedules of most.

The 10th is fine with me.

    The old stanby, O'Flaherty's?

    What say ye all?

    Mike

Those dates are bad for me except for maybe the 24th (and that's pretty iffy itself) ......

But, if you guys are getting together, are there any plans to chat about another NYC GTG this summer? Last year's GTG was very cool ......
