    I bought a set of these strings so that I could try my hand at slap and pop styles. I wasn't into it. The strings were on my bass for a week and they were barely played. Still has that new string zingy-ness to them, not even close to broken in. I may have played them like 4 times and just not into the sound. I kept the entire package and only a few of inches were cut off the ends to accommodate the tuning pegs. I had them on a Stingray, if that makes any difference.
