Marcus Miller strings

    i am trying to find out what brand of strings Marcus Miller was using when he recorded The Man With The Horn and Star People with Miles Davis.

    Being that Miles recorded "The Man with the Horn" in 1981, and DR Strings was founded in 1989, I imagine not... :)

    Listening to the album, if I were to guess, I would guess Rotosound 66. I have no factual reference to cite, though.

    I'm pretty sure at that time Marcus used Dean Markley Super Rounds.
    Very much like SR 2000's but without the taper.
    I don't think they're still in production.
