Mark King

    hey all,

    can you tell me some good mark king/level 42 songs to get, i want to learn some of his stuff, and i need to know some good songs...thanks

    i heard this guy is better at slap then wooten?!

    Can't say he's a better slapper than Wooten...they have pretty different slap styles. Mark King can slap some pretty complex lines and sing at the same time, which I've never seen Vic do.

    Check out the earlier Level 42 albums like Pursuit Of Accidents, Level 42, and Standing In The Light. After those, the production tended to obscure the bass parts much more. You might also search here for past threads on Mark King..there have been several.

    Mark's probably a faster "conventional" slapper than Wooten. Vic gets a lot of mileage out of the double-thumb thing. If you want a greatest hits collection, get "Level Best".
