Markbass LMII as a poweramp?

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by jazzcrime, Apr 23, 2009.

  1. hi guys,
i asked a similar question here recently regarding the LMII, except this time i wanted to turn it out and ask if it's possible to use the LMII as a poweramp for a seperate preamp? if so how? sorry if this is a stupid question - would love to know though.
    cheers.

You can plug your preamp into the effects return to defeat the LMII's preamp, I believe.

  3. FX return of LMII goes before EQ/VLE/VPF circuit.

    lm.

Nothing to worry about, you can set all EQ and VLE/VPF of LMII to flat/0.

I did not know that. OK then, forget what I said. But yeah, the LMII's about dead flat when set flat, so it doesn't matter about the preamp.

  5. I essentially do this with a sansamp BDDI - all EQ pretty much flat (occasional slight adjustment of low mids knob) and no VLE/VPF. works well.
