I have a Kay that I am considering selling. It is serial #50755. Is there a way to find out what model this is and when it was made? The instrument is in good condition, and has a Barbera pickup installed in an adjustable bridge. It has been refinished, which according to the guy who has repaired and set it up for me actually enhances its longevity. How can I get an idea of what a reasonable price to ask for the bass would be?

It is located in Iowa, has a soft case, and plays and sounds great.

    Thx for any feedback.

Don't forget that the Barbera bridge should add nicely to the value. I think I got mine for about $500 or so, and I also use mine on an older Kay (40's era) with an adjustable bridge. It really is a great setup to take into bars. Very feedback resistant, and yet not so pricey that you are afraid to take it out of the house.
