For those of you who've tried these strings, what were your impressions? I just put a medium-gauge set on a '99 American P Bass and was surprised at how bright they were, especially for nickels. I'm not too crazy about the blue silks and they're not the smoothest feel, of course. But overall, pretty good strings. Especially considering that American Musical Supply is selling the damn things for $11.95 a set!

I bought a two pack when I got my Epiphone Jack Casady, (Thanks Mike Jewels for the tip!), and liked them so much I changed out the flats on my P. Immediately went back to GC and bought two more two packs. After nearly two months, they've mellowed some and are reaching their prime, (I'm not into the 'super-bright' sound). I wipe them down after every play, other than just noodling around, and otherwise take decent care of them. I'll probably be sticking with this brand for awhile. Thanks for the tip on the price!
