Bob Marleys former bassist is suing his family and former record label for his share of Marleys royalties. Aston Barrett played bass in The Wailers for nearly ten years, and his late brother Carlton also played drums in the band. According to E! Online, Barrett is seeking $105 million from the Marley family and Island-Universal Records Ltd. based on royalties from a 1974 contract with the label, plus earnings from songs he co-wrote with Marley. Family Man deserves to win. He was the band leader and arranger for the Wailers through almost all of the 1970s. He's the architect for modern roots reggae.
