Six strings? I do not know what I was thinking. Money's cool (I'll consider anything over $200-ish), but I'm really more interested in trading. I'm interested in weird instruments: concertinas, melodicas, theremins... Ethnic instruments are really cool too. This is not one of the new blue ones, even though it looks a lot like one. This one's got a single bridge (which is kinda picky about what kinda strings you use) a five bolt neck, and proabably completely different electronics. I've got it wired like this: 3-way pickup selector Preamp on/off Treble Bass Volume The circuit is an active EMG one. It came with the bass when I bought it (used). Sooo make me an offer! Shipping'll be my treat, as will a hardshell case and big fat strap. And do let me know if you're interested in additional pics or info. EDIT: On my screen, this photo is showing up as a brilliant firey red. It's actually closer to a purple. Take it into Photoshop and shift the hue -10 or -15 degrees if you'd like. I'll try to get a better photo soon.
Buuump. And what I'm really lookin' for (it just kinda dawned on me) is an unlined rosewood on maple fretless P-bass neck. Warmoth sells 'em for $200-ish, I believe. So, $200 shipped, unless you have a spare neck lyin' around. Thanks!
I'd be interested in a trade - possibly an out right purchase, I'm in the Milwaukee area - so if your in Chicago we can figure it out pretty easy. i have a mountain of unusual / ethnic instruments. Alot of really cool bass player freindly stuff - Pipa's from china (4 string lute) Yui quins - again 4 string from china, sitar, dulicmer, etc... the list goes on forever - contact me. Best Wishes, DR Burkowitz (daveburkowitz@aol.com)
Is this still around? I've got a warmoth unlined fretless p-bass neck sitting right next to my desk that was on a bass for a total of 1 day. If you still have it drop me a note and we can talk.
