Fantastic bass cab for both upright bass and bass guitar. Two 6" high excursion woofers and two 3" mid/high frequency drivers with the manipulated vortex waveguide provide incredible response, fidelity, low end and high end extension, and dispersion. It's like playing through a high end PA system but in a single 27 pound box! I'm only selling in hopes of potentially financing other boutique bass cabs, most likely either Mike Arnopol or Audiokinesis. Open to trades as well.

Cab is 8 Ohms with two speakon connectors on the back. Shipping is on the buyer.

Here is the description from MAS:
Small size---huge sound. The MAS26 will compare to most 210's and beat most 12's. Same hifi quality as the MAS46 and MAS66. Works well in a modular setup with a MAS46 or a 110 sub.. Great extension for 5 string electric and works GREAT with double bass.

    Technical Specifications:
Two custom high excursion 6.5" drivers and two 3" Faital midrange/tweeters
    Impedance: 8 ohms
    Sensitivity: 96db
    Power handling 250 watts RMS
    Dimensions: 26" x 8 1/4" x 14" deep
    Weight: 27#
    All marine Okume plywood construction
    300 cc's VD (air moved)

I bet this would sound great stacked on my MAS66! Wish I had the need to find out.

Ive been impressed with all of the MAS cabs that I’ve had the pleasure of playing through. Expect high fidelity and crazy good dispersion!

I bet that 66 is amazing! Considering my 26 can keep up with a 20 piece big band without really even be push hard, I imagine that 66 is pleennnnnttyy.
Sorry to me for derailing my own thread, but I'm curious about the impedance of the 66 as well as the impedance of the individual drivers. I would want that big of a cab to be 4-ohms, but to get there the woofers would have to be something a bit unusual.... Not that it actually matters; I understand that such ratings are nominal (pronounced fuzzy).

Yeah it’s plenty of cab alright. I believe it’s 6 ohms, rated for 700W. The woofers are angled inwards. I think this adds to the great dispersion.

More info here-Big E 66 in good condition available at great price!

But back on topic- someone should snag this 27 lb dynamo and experience the MVW voodoo for themselves!!

    Bump and price drop!

  7. I have one almost exactly like this (Mine is 4 Ohms)- it’s a fantastic cab for upright and electric. Highly recommended.

Someone really ought to take this thing off my hands. I've got three MAS cabs right now plus a fantastic AudioKinesis TC112, and the four of 'em just seems a little unfair. $425 is half the new price, IIRC.
