Masterclass in California, January 2006!

    Hi all,

    I'm off out to California for the NAMM show in January, and the week after - January 28th - I'll be giving a masterclass/clinic/workshop in Campbell, California.

    It'll run from about 10.30 in the morning til 4 or 5 in the afternoon, and will look at as many aspects of playing bass, writing music and performing as we can get to in that time, touching on right and left hand technique, solo playing, timing, tone, looping and solo playing and composition, as well as plenty of time for question and answer sessions so all your bass-woes will get dealt with!

    this is the third year in a row for this event, sponsored by AccuGroove speakers and Looperlative audio products, and promises to be a great day.

    The cost for the day is $55, which will include a pizza/sub/equivalent lunch. Watch this space for news of an evening gig with very special guests!

    I'll be there again and I've got a friend coming too. I can watch Jeff play upsidedown bass again....hehe.

    I'll certainly try to make it. Steve, I went to your 2004 masterclass at Bob Amstadt's house...I was the chap with the sunburst F-Bass. It was a very inspiring session. Bob's new Looperlative device looks intriguing.

    Hey DigThemLows--I'm playing funky jazz tonight (Friday Dec. 9) at the SkyBar in Sacramento from 9-1. I'm also there next Friday and Saturday...come on by if you're free.

    Sorry I didn't even see this until too late................let me know of any other shows you have coming up. My bands playing the Fox and Goose in Downtown Sac on the 23rd if you're into good ole rock.

    Great class Steve! :D If I'm still in Northern California next year, I'm definitely coming back.

    I took a few pictures when I wasn't notetaking...will probably put them up soon.

    Great to meet all of you also! And loved hearing the Accugroove and Looperlative. The whole thing was inspiring and eye-opening.
