Matching a P/J set to an ACG filter pre?

This won't be another "how do I get the Wal tone for $5?" thread (unless you know of something?). I'm mainly fishing for input from others - what P/Js have you matched with an ACG, what was the result, etc.?

I'm considering putting the pre in my fretless Fender JBS, the bridge pickup in which is probably underwound relative to the neck pickup.

I'm highly opinionated and extremely self-assured
I'm listening to the crickets. I have an ACG pre in one of my fretlesses, but it sports dual-blade soap bars (Duncan SSBs), so I have nothing of any substance to contribute.

(Except that I don't think the pre cares about what the pickups are, as long as they have enough output and impedance to function...)

I would first identify what frequencies the preamp is boosting. From there, I would try and find out the resonant peak frequencies of as many PJ sets as I could. This would inform a lot about my choice.

EQ-01, since several folks have asked.

Filter preamps don't boost or cut a set frequency. I'd try to find a pickup that has wide frequency range. There's no sense in having a pickup that limits frequencies and use a preamp that let's you tailor a very broad frequency range.

fwiw I installed an ACG EQ-02 in a bass that had a pair of EMG J pickups and they mated beautifully...so I would expect similar compatibility from a set of EMG PJ pickups.

But hell if I know for certain.
