Hi! I bought this MT bass for my son last year. It apparently came from a shop in Atlanta GA owned by Emille Baran (since closed, I think). I have no idea how old it is (is there somewhere I should look??)

Is this a good bass? It has what appears to be a burled wood back and sides. I wouldn't not know if it were in good shape or not--it has some chips in the wood, but nothing major.

I can't seem to find much out about it. Thanks for your help!

Hi @Miss Karen are you just wanting more information on your double bass or did you intend to specifically ask Lynn Seaton about this? I do not think he would have answer for this inquiry.

If you just want some info on your son's bass then I would suggest contacting a mod and having them move this thread over to the main forum. Please refrain from asking "what is it worth" as it goes against forum rules and it may get your thread deleted. If you would like a value we can provide one but only if you are a supporting member.

    I hope that helps.

    Hi Miss Karen,
Indeed, I am not the right person to ask about bass provenance or value. A qualified upright bass luthier/dealer would be the person to talk to.
