My 5 day old MB500 has a flakey mute switch :bawl:
Once or twice it took 2 pushes for it to stay engaged.
Now it's really intermittent and some times makes a loud popping sound.

Can I assume that this is a bad switch and not likely to fix itself ?
I know the service between RMC and GK will be great but I play this thing everyday.
  2. If its only 5 days old, can't you get a swap over replacement ?

In my opinion if a new amp is faulty it should be replaced. I wouldn't waste time with it just return it.
  4. No reason to get it fixed. Just send back for a full refund and order another one (assuming your retailer has this option... if they don't... don't use that retailer any more). Most on-line retailers will just swap your unit for a new one. Zero issue.

Most amps with a problem fail either at power on, or within the first few days of use.
