Here is the old thread about the construction of the bass

    http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=72870

My new bass is finnished, it's made by a chilean luthier, the body is laurel,it has a moses neck, dimarzio pickups model j, a string-thru bridge made of some kind of steel, and shaller light tuners (i think). And it has a snowy kind of finnish... that shines with light(little white shiny dots)

What can i say about the sound..... first of all... the strings are very old, so i don't know what's the real sound of it... the first thing i noticed, is that the lower registers have a "chorus"-kind of sound, maybe is because of the prescense of some kind of FQ (low-mids or high-mids... don't know). And
something important is that it has lots of lo-end, but i think it sounds a bit compressed, sort of upright-kind of sound. i would really like to change the strings, that way, i would know how the high-end sounds. The harmonics sounds really loud!!!. And it also has a lot of sustain and gain. It has a damn buzz that i think its because the neck is not grounded... i will have to work on that.

It really has its own sound.... i will have to record some samples someday. It weight like 2.3 KG, and it's really well balanced when it's on your back, it's also very comfortable. the only not-my-liky(my english sucks sometimes) thing is that it is a bit uncomfortable when you're sitted. I'm really happy with it.

    Now the pictures!!

old_skool: If you are asking if i can compare it to something.... i can't... but it sound really good. it simply :bassist: (rocks)
I think it's a versatil sounding bass. Not very good for slap, but i may be wrong because the strings are damn too old.
