  10. Those guys have had an interesting career. After initially making a splash, they put out a rather esoteric album and dropped out of sight when radio and video quit playing them because it wasn't commericial enough.

But communication over the internet by people who dug the album kept their name popping up for years. Sortof like Creed, who was given up for dead initiallly. Finally, someone in the recording industry was smart enough to sense that they still had a decent-sized base of fans. Voila! They've got new video on TV.

Really like jamming with "Hash Pipe."

  11. The new album is absolute crap, in my opinion...

  12. That's an understatement ;). The cd sucks so bad its not even funny. It has maybe 3 good songs, which get really old and annoying after hearing it about 5 times.

To me weezer is like a mountain....it goes up with blue....hits its peak at pinkerton....and has a straight fall when it comes to green.

Yea it's not thier best, but to me it seems almost like a comeback album, ya know? It seems to me like Rivers was testing the water again to see what it was like, and to maybe get some confidence back.
Unfirtunately, yes, some of the songs lack and there are no real solos or weird arrangements as on Pinkerton, but let 'em get back up to speed.

  15. i honestly hope you are kidding. That song is sooooo annoying. Whenever it comes on (be it TV, cd, or what have you) I either turn it off, change to the next track, or immediatly leave the room.

That song totally gets on my nerves.

DAMN U ISLAND IN THE SUN IS A DAMN GOOD SONG. HOW DARE U EVEN SAY THAT A WEEZER SONG SUCKS!!!!!!!!! anyways......what songs do u like then, some of my other favs are tired of sex, across the sea, surf wax america and say it aint so

  17. I love the entire blue album basically, i haven't heard too much off of pinkerton, but the songs I have heard from there are pretty good, and I hear its way better than blue, so I really need to check pink out.

  18. green < blue < pinkerton.

my favorite weezer song ever is across the sea. i don't think the new album totally sucks, i love photograph and knock down drag out.

Watch the namecalling, bailstric. I will give you one chance since you are new, but we are under a strict zero tolerance policy right now and if this happens again you will be banned.

I saw them several weeks ago at a big venue in Southern California and was impressed. Very tight on stage and with a new bass player. They opened with Photograph and it was cool, with their big Winnebago "W" logo rising up back stage and the retro lights. They weren't taking themselves too seriously and are just a fun band.
