Are there any Medium light flat wound strings that will fit a Mustang bass?
Remember the Mustang has string thru body length.
    I don't want anything heavier than a .100 E. And I don't like Rotosound.

    Zombie Thread

Can *anyone* recommend flatwounds for a thru-body Mustang that will fit correctly and intonate? I bought some GHS flats for 30"-31" scale and of course they don't come close to fitting. I had to trim over 1" of silk at the nut and the strings will not intonate properly.

I'd really like to stop guessing at what flats will work properly on a Mustang. Anyone?

Bump. Someone must have experience putting flats on a Mustang and know if their strings fit correctly and will intonate. Help!

Meanwhile I went back to the factory rounds. They sound really good and intonate perfectly.
