Been dreaming lately of my next bass. I'd really like a single cut but I haven't seen one in 32" scale (which I prefer).

So how about it? Anybody heard of a 32" SC or perhaps a custom builder who has (or even will) make one?

    Peace,

    Matt

There's lots of 33" scale singlecuts out there, so I'm sure some of their builders would go down to 32". I know FBB has made a 30" short scale singlecut.

I would think that any custom builder would do that for you.

Yeah, custom *sigh*... big $'s, big wait... but I guess I have wierd taste in scale length in the day of extra long scale basses! :D

I'd be most comfortable with a custom if the builder has produced a 32" SC. Looking at various builder websites, I've not seen a 32" SC so far. Can anyone point me to a builder who makes them (or at least has made *one*)?

    Thanks!

This bass is a 32" scale SC shape.

Honestly, though, there's not much difference between building a 33 and a 32. I tend to build more 33's because I had a bunch of 35" scale fingerboards slotted and 33" can be derived from a 35" scale.

I do like the 32" scale. It's very comfortable.
