Mel Bay Book with Sugar Transcription?

    Hey Mike.

    Back in July you mentioned that you had a book coming out that would include a transcription of Sugar similar to the way Mr. Manring played on the BassDay '98. Do you have a status on that book?

    Thanks for the inquiry. Actually the Sugar arrangement is very dissimilar to Michael Manring's. It is more "jazzy" with lots of chord substitutions and less percussive than his. It really demonstrates the range of what can be done, on solo bass, with a particular tune. I've done the same with Amazing Grace.

    I spoke with Mel Bay last week and they said it will go into production in the 1st quarter of '05. The waiting is difficult
