hey all. i've never really tried a good set of steel strings on my Fender p. most people that use them say they are aggressive, bright, and punchy. is there any set that is "diverse"? i really like agressive sounding strings when played with a pick.. but i also love warm mellow finger tones. is there a steel string that does both? or should i stick with nickel plated? the only steel string i've ever really tried was an old set of rotosounds swing 66 on my friend's bass. TERRIBLE sound (but that could have been because of their age). i dunno...
