    Hi,
Would I introduce to you this new release:

    So Wit - Sow It

1 - What do you think about this piece?
2 - Is it a major bass solo composition? (compared to other references or similar score writing - sounding like...)
3 - What would be your cover (Bass or Double Bass)?

    Thank you

  2. Hmmm. A brand new member, with only one post, containing a link. I suspect click bait, so I’m not going to try your link, out of concern for safety and malware and such.

  3. Just sounds like someone warming up on bass. I think it would be a stretch to call it a "major bass solo composition" lol

    I enjoyed it, good intonation.
    Major; nah
    Sounds more like minor eb
I don't understand the 3rd question. If I where to play or cover it I'd use a frettless electric because I'm not comfortable on DB.

It's nice enough I guess, but not in anyway mind blowing or displaying a high skill level. Honestly I personally even got a bit bored by listening to it, even if it isn't that long a piece. Also terrible recording quality.

Sound most of all like someone doing a relatively simple electrical piano piece, tone wise too.

I actually think it would sound better on a double bass, even if the composition as such naturally wouldn't improve any by that.

YMMV, but I'm reminded, a little, of incidental film music that works in the context of a scene but has little actual substance and so cannot stand in its own right musically. There is no discernable melody (thread title?) or theme, therefore no development or movement. Without a melody or theme to support, the harmonic structure, whilst not unpleasant, just meanders around without purpose. There might be some mileage as atmospheric 'mood music', but as a major composition for solo bass, maybe less so...
Sorry to be so harsh, but you did set some very high expectations...

I have listened to your soundclip.
I am concerned about your breathing - loud and irregular.
