I could use your advice on this:
I currently own a Eden WT800 and I have that connected to 1x15 and 2x10 Mesa Boggie cabinets. I like this setup since it's compaq and easy to get into my car.
The stlye of music I like to play is Rock n Roll.
    I played a Mesa 400 + today through a Powerhouse cab. 1x15, 4x10. Wow It sounded great.
I like the Eden but the Mesa has such great tone.
I would like to get advice from the Mesa guys if they like using that head - and if they would prefer a 2x15 cabinet instead of the 2x10 and 1x15 config.
If I stay away from the Mesa head - I would like to lean toward keeping the Eden and getting the 4x10xlt with the 2x10xlt cabinet.

Would like your thoughts both good and bad!!

    Thanks

To give you an idea of where I'm coming from, I own the following: Eden WT400, Eden WT800, Mesa Boogie 400+, '70 Ampeg SVT and SWR Bass 750. For cabs, it's all Eden, Ampeg and Boogie: Eden D115XL (8ohms), D210XLT (8ohms), D215XLT (4 ohms), D410XLT (8ohms); Boogie 2x15 (4 ohms) and 4x10 (8 ohms), both Road Ready; Ampeg SVT 810 (4 ohms).

The Eden WT800 is simply great when mono-bridged into the D410XLT. I like it less when driving two 8 ohm cabs. The 400+ driving either of the Boogie cabs is awesome, easily my favorite rigs. Driving both cabs really gives you the ultimate. But, I must say, nothing really matches the old SVT with the original 810 cab--it still rules if the room is big enough. Don't use the SWR amp much these days (might even sell it) but it's a very good, clean, amp.

Final thought: You cannot go wrong given the options you're considering. You're already there but if you ever spring for the 400+, you'll love it!

    Boggiebass,

Thanks for your input - not to mention some awesome gear you have!!!
If I go with the 400 + do you think I should change my small config or do you think 2x15 cab and 2x10 cab would work fine??? I will hang on to the Wt800 for backup if I need it.
So you like the mesa 400+ with the 2x15 and 4x10's better then the Eden with 4x10XLT's
With your config you can play anywhere with any sound - but I guess you already know that :)

    Thanks again

One more thing have you ever hook up the boggie cabs with the Eden head and visa versa???

fachie3, I think you can run just about any cab with the 400+ and be very happy. It will easily handle loads all the way down to 2ohms, which gives you a LOT of options! The Boogie cabs sound great with the Eden heads and vice versa. Good luck.
