Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by groovking, Oct 19, 2005.

  1. have any of you folks had any experience with one of these?
how much $ are they? im used to a mesa 400+ w/ 4x10deep &1x15 diesel cabs.
ive been getting a little hissing from time to time with it lately....., maybe a tube, or a cap? it is a 93.
i happened to be looking at amps quickly tonite and noticed the big block, but i hadnt tried it nor noticed the price new. any answers to any of these ?'s......
  2. There are quite a few threads on that amp; do a search, and you're sure to find feedback. It retails for $1750 CAD, puts 750W into 2 Ohms, 550 into 4 Ohms, or 280 into 8 Ohms. I tried it out a few times, and it's a very, VERY tubey-sounding amp. So much so that I wouldn't recommend it for too much slap duty. The overdrive is killer, and you'll never want for power with the cabinets you've listed. Again, do a search, and you'll surely find what you're looking for in terms of opinions.
