So I am just curious if anyone would advise a move of getting rid of my mpulse 600 for a prodigy ?

I also have an epifani 502ul that I could trade as well.

    Looking for opinions.

  2. Well.... I haven't played a Prodigy but I did just sell my M-Pulse after buying a 400+ which aparently sounds similar. The tube amp just sounded more clear, punchy and "alive". If you use a lot of the features on your M-Pulse - compressor, EQ, footswitch - you will miss it. Lose the Epi. :D

    I didn't care for my buddy's epi 502 either.
I tried a prodigy and I didn't like it-it was very clear and almost scooped sounding-mind you, that was at lower volumes. as a walkabout and a big block owner, I was surprised at how the prodigy didn't sound at all like those amps.
the 600 is a very nice amp with a warm pre section; the prodigy is quite expensive.
