Thinking about getting one of these, along with a Walkabout head. I play a Warwick thumb 5-string. Mesa Boogie's web site doesn't have much technical information on the Powerhouse cabs, though. Can anybody answer these questions --

    1. What's the low frequency rating for the PowerHouse 4x10? If I play just through the 4x10 will it handle the low B?

    2. Is there a tweeter or horn on this cab?

    thanks in advance.

It will handle a low B easy. Don't know the spec (not that specs matter much anyway).

It has a horn (not that it matters much; I turn mine off).
  3. hi there---i have the 2 x 10 powerhouse and it handles 600 watts, handles the low end better than most 10's....mine has a horn and a variable output for it on the back and is rear ported.. i use mine with a 15" ampeg svt cab and power with a swr 750x and sansamp rbi pre...sounds amazing !! a bit heavy though....but oh well :)
  4. hmmm

the 2x10 is rated at 300 watts

  5. sorry---but mine is rated at 600watts @ 8 ohmns,
it is a 2003 model (powerhouse)
  6. How much does the Powerhouse 4x10 weigh?
  7. Are you talking about the 4x10 or 2x10? Because the specs on Mesa's site clearly state the 2x10 is 300 watts .. and you mentioned 2x10 up above, but maybe you meant 4x10? I've never seen a 600 watt Mesa 2x10 8Ohm cab anywhere.
