Mesa Boogie RR 410 $200...good deal?

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by Chris 'Wighat' Jordan, Jan 25, 2014.

  1. Got a chance to pick up this cab. Asking price is $200. Seems like a steal. Looks like an older cab. Cones are gray with black dust caps. Says "Mesa/Boogie in the upper left of the grill. What kind of speakers? What's the ohms of each driver? Comments?

It's a steal. Elctro-voice drivers most likely (would have to see a pic). Most rigid and heavy 410 on planet. Over 125 lbs. I love my Diesel which is the same thing but not RR. Diesel is slightly lighter.

I'll give you $205 for it.
  4. YES. Especially if it has the EVs. Odds are the speakers being Eden though. Pictures please.

Yeah sorry. Visibly grey or grey/blueish with a black center are Eden or PAS. I read it wrong. If the dust caps are pretty much the same color as the cones they would be the EV's.
  6. If it is in good Shape that is a steal!

  8. Meeting with the owner in two hours. Now would be a great time for any last minute opinions....
  9. If the weight is too much, you'll have to pass. If you can deal with the weight you'll have a solid cab for $200!

make sure to plug in an amp or at least do a 9V battery speaker test to make sure none of the drivers are blown. great deal if it works
  12. So, I got the cab. It's in great shape and grunt-worthy HEAVY. I gave the guy $100 and an Acoustic Model 470 head that I wasn't sure worked. I told him to give me a call if he didn't like the head and I'd give him the other $100. I kinda hope the Acoustic head works but he doesn't like it - I never had a chance to play around with it and it might be kinda cool.
