Mesa Buster 200 "Ohmage"

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by mikkejohansson, Jan 11, 2005.

  1. ...don't know if that's a real word.

I have just bought a pre-owned Mesa Buster 200 bass head, I'm very happy with the sound bur I have a question that the manual doesn't seem to answer for me.

The head has 4 ohms and 8 ohms output jacks. The manual describes several ways of hoking up cabs and which jacks to use, but doesn't mention using a single 8 ohm cab.

Should i expect that this amp only delivers "full power" at 4 ohms, or does it still deliver att 8 ohms if an 8 ohm cab is hooked to the 8 ohm jack? Something tells me it should...

Maybe a messy question, hoping for a straight answer :)

    Hey :)

    Translator!!!!! Please. :)

    Slipsen,
Maybe you could answer my questions about the Buster output set-up on the "Mesa Boogie Buster - outputs" thread.

  5. The Buster's all tube right? It will deliver full power into any of the rated impedances.

    Nu kommer freden.

"Drinks! Drinks for all my friends!",exclaimed while Smith's "The Sermon" played in the sound track to "Bar Fly."

Old friends from Detroit told tales of Smith at the Bluebird wringing wet, lost in the ecstacy of jazz performance taking the towel from around his neck and at the height of frenzy snapping it at the keyboard, then jumping back on board like James Bond getting behind the wheel of a moving boat in some crazy scene on the Detroit River to light up a blues run down the length of the keys, then grabbing that Ivory beast by the throat, making it stand up and exclaim like a preacher saving the world from the doors of hell, all the while kickin' the bass and all that Motor City grime right down the bar room drain.....

    Now comes the quiet.

  8. Nice translation...babelfish?

Not much right in there...the name "Smith" is constantly translated to the swedish word for blacksmith=smed...makes for amusing reading, but the english text is much more informative! :D
