I, much like yourselves (most), am always in search of the perfect tone. I dig my Mesa M2000, but I'm not sure.

I've heard good things about Euphonic Audio, the i800 amp looks interested.

Anyone have any advice, criticism regarding the tone of EA's amps. I do a lot of different styles when doing studio work, but mostly i'm after a good rock tone. clear but punchy with some huge balls behind it.

    any advice?

I have a Mesa Boogie M-2000 basis myself and enjoy this great sounding work horse tremendously. It took me a while to get the ideal sound out of it, but I finally mastered it.
I use the M2000 for smaller gigs with an EA VL 210 and it sounds great. The setup is compact and fits all my needs. I play in a rock/blues trio (style similar to Government Mule) and my bass sounds super clean. For bigger venues I use my Diesel Cabs (one 2x10 and the 15", equipped with EVs).
I doubt it that you can go wrong with a VL210 and the M2000.
