hi kids, i am awaiting delivery of a second ph 1x 15 cab and i want to ask if there is any problem or advantage in stacking them on their sides to bring them up a little closer to ear level. will it change the dynamic of the cabs to be placed this way. i know theres only a few inches in it but i know you guys know your stuff with speaker placement.
    cheers kids.

  2. Stack away and you tell me. I expect you will find it hard to tell any difference at all.

  3. +1

If anything you might get a little more mids to your ears, but as soon as you take 5 steps forward it wouldnt be noticable.

thanks fellas. i just wasn't sure if it would change things in some bad way. as i'm a lazy s*d i prolly just stack em regular and not bother putting the rubber feet on the side. that said, i might make a riser to replace my milk crate and keep jimmy M happy if i need it up any higher. thanks again guys.

These cabs would likely not sound much different on their sides as they are pretty square shaped. I owned a pair and just adored the tone. It was only the deadlifting of 80 pound 115's into my hatchback that caused me to sell them. I would love to go back to that tone though! With a Walkabout head, it was pure bliss.
