I picked this up and it's mainly loose, jam based compositions that are pretty heavy on repition. It seems to have an Islamic theme. I have a background in Arabic (pretty rusty) and I know "Jamia" means university. The album features Matt Garrison on basss for three tracks in addition to Meshell. This is the first time I've actually heard him. He sounds good but I suspect this is only just a small fraction of his capabilities. Check it out.
