i orderd a set of 5 string strings for my four string bass.
i was going to string it EADG and not use the top B string. The string gauges are smaller than a regular 4 string set.
and if i don't like that, i would string it BEAD
    but tune it to EADG
    would this work?
the B string is only .110

  2. are you sure.110 is the b string?? .110 is the heavy guage of E string. the smallest b string ive ever heard of was like .120.

but yes stringing BEAD would work. just have to adjust your neck and string height cuz the bigger the string the more tension it has(dont ask me its all i know)

    hopw i helped ya punk.

  4. why are you using such light gauge strings???/

they would work but if you tuned bead the b would sound extemely thin i think.

    just trying things out.
and if i don't like it. i will just string it the other way.
so that way i can have a heavy set and a light set.
