  4. Shoot, I didn't realise that the backwards guitar booth was right next to Nordstrand. Nordstrand's booth also had some nice basses made by Browne. Very interesting, but I didn't get to try them out. I actually didn't play any basses while I was there--too intimidating.

Great to hear that you guys had a chance to check out Carey's basses. We talked briefly this afternoon, and while the convention was a success for Nordstrand Guitars overall, I think he was pretty worn out and glad to be home! :D
Congrats to those who were able to attend...hope you all had a great time.

I checked out Carey's booth and his NAMM single cutaway was extremely cool. Not only did it sound great but it was very pretty. Carey is also a really nice guy!

i am seriously considering driving to Careys tomorow since George Furlanetto said he will be visiting him- and i need to pick a bass ( from George, but if Carey has something laying around...)
again, Carey work is TOP NOTCH and you will not find anyone with more attention to detail.. anywhere---

  9. Agreed. Still amazes me everytime I pick up my Nordstrand. What a talent... actually, more of a gift.

I passed by the booth, but couldn't make it over to play anything (Big Bummer). But I did get to talk to Carey & he is the greatest guy you'll want to meet.

His basses, look 10 times better in person! Great Job Carey!

    Hey Guys...
Thanks so much for the kind words.

Man, I am tired. It really all just caught up with me today. Spent most of the day napping on the couch.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks to all the great players that came by the booth and made my basses sound so good. I can't wait to do it again next year.

    Thanks,
    Carey

Agreed Adrian! Carey's basses were some of the finest I've ever seen!

Carey...was cool to meet you and I'll be in touch!

  15. hey all,

I played my first Nordstrand at the show (the white pine/pink ebony fretless 5) and was devastated!! what a spectacular instrument!

had to bring Trip by to check 'em out!

I see a Nordstrand in my future...

    :D

    from the lows,
