    Hey everyone,

I was looking to start learning some metal on my bass, I've

mostly been sticking to normal rock n' roll stuff like Nirvana,

Greenday, and all that jazz. :smug: I've been taking lessons

for a couple yeras learning the basics but I just started teach-

ing myself songs that I like instead of the jazzy book stuff

that teaches technique and all that. So can anyone suggest

some good and easy Metal songs or just lines that I can

practice on? That would be great thanks. :bassist:

Enter Sandman is easy and (relatively) good.

  4. Check out some Testament, Megadeth, Metallica, Iron Maiden and probably some Black Sabbath too.

For something really basic try "You Got Another Thing Comin" by Judas Priest-good one to just hammer out the eighth notes-the trick is to keep 'em even.

Iron Maiden is AWESOME but a lot of what Steve Harris does is well beyond what a beginner can do. However "The Trooper" is not overly difficult.

Also check out AC/DC. A lot of what they do is pretty basic.
