A little background...I started playing again about a month ago after not really touching my gear for over 10 years. I've currently got an Ibanez Black Eagle, a Traynor TS-120B, and a Crate BT215 Cabinet.

At this point, I believe the head is on it's way out, and I'm trying to decide what to replace it with. The whole setup doesn't really sound "right" right now, but more "fuzzy" since I started back up again. I've played the bass on other amps and it sounds fine, so I don't think that's the problem. The cabinet is the newest part of the whole rig, and I believe the speakers are still in good shape.

I've been reading alot of the threads in this section recently, but I'm just not up to speed on pricing and what's good and what's not, so I guess I'm just looking for some "direction" :). I'd like to stay in the 3-400 range for a head.

    Thanks all!!
  2. My personal favorite head for 15 inch cabs is GK. The 800RB would be a good choice.
