    Hi G&L folks,
I'm one of you as my #1 is an SB-2:)

Could someone measure their L-2000 pickups? I have this feeling that I might be able to replace some EMG 35HZ's with them. The HZ's measure 3.5" x 1.5". Are the MFD's close to that?

    Many thanks

  2. The MFDs are bigger: 3.728 X 1.654. Depth is likely different as well.

Sorry you had to wait so long for a response.

  4. Howdy - does anyone know the dimensions for the 5 string MFDs?

Also, the string spacing at the bridge of 2500s - is it 17 or 17.5mm? Trying to figure out if the 5 string MFD will work on my 17mm spaced 5 string.....

    Greatly appreciated!

Oh yeah, string spacing is 17.5mm but half a millimeter is not going to affect anything at all. Think of it this way: it would be like changing from a
1 3/4" neck to a 1 1/2" neck, the strings are going to be closer together at the neck pickup even though they are the same at the bridge. Neck pickup still works right? As long as the strings are in the general area of the poles it will be fine.

  6. Thanks Hugh - 4 1/8 long - might JUST fit.....hmmm.... :)

    Cheers,
