First Question, where is the Fender Deluxe made?

Second, is there a huge difference between the Fender Deluxe and the "standard" MIA? Of course, ones active and ones not, but, in quality and construction, is there a big difference, excluding the 500$ difference.

The Fender deluxe bass is made in Mexico. It is an active bass but unlike the MIA dlx bass it has a standard neck and body. The MIA dlx bass has a 22 fret neck and a smaller body. The MIM dlx bass is a nice bass and now has "noiseless pups" but does not have a graphite reinforced neck, rolled fingerboard, available maple neck option, translucent color options, hard shell case with candy (strap cord, polishing cloth). The MIM dlx bass is basically a MIM standard bass with active electronics. As far as construction goes they have a different feel to them, the MIA bass feels more solid strapped on and the quality of the parts ie tuners, bridge, pups (although the dlx now has noiseless pups) are better.
