    hey

sorry if this is a really dumbass question, but to use a microphone do u actually need a specific mic amp, and if so where can i get one, and who makes gd ones?

cause me and some mates were playing around doing covers and ****, running the mic through her guitar amp and it totally ****ed up after awhile, and began picking up spanish radio.

    just wondering

    cheers

If you want to go cheap, you can use a secondhand keyboard-amp with XLR input like me.

The radio signal comes from the (unshielded?) cable, you won't have this problem with a XLR-cable.

you can use a mic through it but then you need to get an impedance adjuster. they change from high to low impedance at the input of the amp. they are an XLR into a 1/4". they cost like $15 bucks and most music places that sell PA gear should have them...
