I'm looking into getting a new bow soon. I'll be selling my C.L. Bazin at some point, but until then I'll just be trying out some different bows and getting a feel for what I want in a new bow. I'm borrowing a couple bows from a friend who's selling right now, one of which is a Michael Dolling. It pulls a brighter sound out of my bass than my Bazin, and the sound is also more layered and resonant. It has a very quick response too. It's a little on the longer side, but the bow is fairly light and easy to control. I'm liking it so far. Just wondering if anyone else has had experience with Michael Dolling bows. Thoughts?

Master bowmaker, and some of the best german bows I've played have been from Dolling
