Up for sale is my Michael Kelly Bayou IV Resonator Bass. This particular instrument is a MK prototype, and might be the only one. There are a couple dings in the body binding, but otherwise the bass is in mint condition since it has mainly just been a wall-hanger. The bass plays well, but don't expect a Lull or Sadowsky. 30" scale length, abalone block inlays, flamed maple laminated body, Antique Sunset finish. A couple years ago a installed a new (i.e., better) spider bridge and maple/ebony bridge saddle. The hardware has a very cool dark aged nickel finish, and the tuners are Grovers. The pickup is the cone-mount variety and run through a passive volume & tone to the 1/4" output jack (NOTE: pickup not currently hooked up). The strings are only a couple months old, and have been played less than a hour. I don't have a case for it, but I'll include a brand new Gator Cases acoustic bass gig bag that's a little big but does its job. The bass is located in the Cincinnati area, and I'm asking $250/shipped.
