Hi Michael, first of all I'd like to say that you are one of the most amazing bassists I've ever heard. But there's no other solo bass artist that I enjoy that much. Your work is just so inspiring for a bassplayer (Music for Armchair Funambulist is one of my favourite piece of music).

I was just wondering if you got any gigs near Paris any time soon?

Another thing I would like to ask you: what is the sample in here ?

You make a great job Michael, I look forward to seeing you soon!

Thanks so much for your kind words, Skeld. I’m planning another trip to France in November, so I hope to make a stop near Paris then. If not, I’ll be back a few times next year so I hope to see you there before too long.

The sample you asked about is from the introduction to a piece of mine called “Selene.” It’s a live recording that will appear on my upcoming CD.
