    Hey hey TB!

Found a bass today made by Michael Rowan. It's a neck thru 4 string. Walnut neck with maple runners, walnut wings and bubinga top. Bart J style pups. This particular bass is selling at a pretty heavy discount as it was demo'd at the Dallas Guitar Show, and apparently a few other places as well.

My question is....Rowan is primarily a g***ar builder, but will build real instruments as well. Was wondering if any of you had heard of / played anything of his before? I'm sleeping on this purchase and heading to Larry Morgan Music in the morning to keep looking. That bass sounded phenomanal, but for some reason the neck didn't feel quite right to me. Thinking it may because it's different than the J neck I'm used to....but it was enough to keep me from walking out with it today. Need help....GAS too strong to hold out much longer.

    Thanks for any insight.

  2. I've played a guitar of his... a Cimarron like this:

A fabulous and certainly real instrument.
