Micro-micro review: Hardwire DL-8 delay/looper

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by bassteban, Oct 1, 2008.

  1. Solidly-built(heavy). Stereo in/outs. Doesn't seem to self-oscillate, can't tweak time/repeats/etc in real time for spaceship-taking-off sounds. Time, repeats & level knobs are notched(not smooth-turning/infinitely adjustable). Based on 2 minutes of in-store noodling(thanks, Matt @ the Tweed Hut, Vacaville). :)

  2. Didn't get to it. I wanted to see how close to analog it came & wanked on it for a couple of minutes in my local music store. Very much don't like the detented pots, & the non-self-oscillatingness of it was a deal breaker, so having gotten all my Q's answered, I figured I'd pass on what I learned. Hefty construction & nice tone, though. Bassteban respects, but does not lust after, this pedal. :)
