Hi guys, i've recently moved from the OC-2 for solo effect to a Electro Harmonix POG and it cuts through very nicely! here is a clip:

Anyone else using these for bass solo purposes?

    Regards,

    Bill.

Hey mate, very nice groove. Once you got into that solo you really funked it out.

And I use the HOG2 for similar purposes, albeit using the envelope and expression pedal for extra impact. The tracking is so great on the HOGs and POGs that it feels more like the perfect chorus than an "octave" which are so often just synth reproductions at chorus delay.

Thanks man, will definitely check out the HOG2 :)

  4. Do you have your own light tech? I loved how they were synced to your music - so if it was a house light tech, kudos to the venue for hiring an attentive one.

  5. Sounds good, I did have the little one at one point. It had a nice octave up effect. I wasn’t too crazy about the octave down. In the end I decided being a 6 string player the octave down was more important for me in a pedal.

Yes thats our lighting tech! :)

I have to agree with you on this I'm not a fan of the octave down on the POG either, its just a bit washy compared to the tighter OC-2 low octave.

  7. Makes a huge difference to any show...having great lights.

Hi Bill, nice work man, that tone sounds great in that larger venue.

I sold my POG and personally go more synthy now. I use an OCT2 on halfway blend or all the way for pure sub and go into a 3leaf Doom. It basically sounds like a moog, and cuts, but in a different way.

Sounds good! I used to use the octave up more often during solos but lately I've been using the octave down for soloing higher up the neck. I like the effect of either one (up or down) - it just depends on the desired vibe.

That was badass! Love that extra-behind-the-beat feel. Sounds really good in a tune like that. Anyway, I use the Pitchfork when I need octave up, but used to have the Micro Pog and it's killer, too. Very effective use of it in that tune.

You sound like you're sorted, so it's all good.
