Micromark 601 and 801

    Anyone out there play or own both? Im looking used. I've only played the 601. Is the 801 a lot better? Thanks.

    601 covers acoustic jams and anything under that... the fan is loud though.

    Hi there,

    I did play them side by side before getting the 801 for home and travels. The 801 is in another class, it can get real loud for a tiny amp and it has a punchier tone. That being said the 601 is amazingly portable although with some compromise soundwise due to the speaker size. If you travel a lot that amp fits into a backpack, the 801 is a bit bigger so you need to carry it.
