I know this isn't a bass topic so move it/delete if you will moderators

Anyway, after been listening to alot of funk lately, i hear this synth like effect on the vocals. Is it a pedal, rack or a studio effect?

Any tips on things to check out that will give me the "funk voice"?

I know that Jaymz Hetfield uses a chorus effect. I've been wondering if he works the pedal live or if his sound man does. I went to a show for this local band called The Vigilantes, and the singer just plugged his mic into a guitar delay pedal. It sounded real good!

Singing thru a stomp box !

Our Vox/Guitarist did that on a track - he sung thru his distortion pedal. The weirdest sound

So it might be a stompbox? Gotta try it! Thanks for the tips!

If anyone else wants to chime in, go ahead :)

the mic output is too week to go to a pedal, when using effects live usually the spundman do it, the mixing consoles have an "effect instert" AFTER the PRE, wich act similiar to a effect loop.
