  1. whats the best way to clean the metal grille on a microphone?

Depends whats on it. if its rust then good luck, and i wouldn't bother. if its just grime, use warm soapy water. unscrew the ball and the grill comes off. wash it and make sure its really dry afterwards. I would be inclined to spray some RP-7 or WD-40 to protect it, then wipe it clean with a dry cloth. screw it back on and bobs your uncle. thats what i would do. :p

    Unscrew the screen from the mic and use soap and warm water with an old toothbrush. Blow dry with compressed air.
