Up for sale is a nice (if I do say so myself) replica of the very rare mid-60s Slab P Bass as described in the book Fender Bass for Britain, which you can see here: http://www.amazon.com/Fender-Bass-Britain-Slab-Bodied-Precision/dp/1438946627 The bass is essentially new. All other hardware is Fender USA vintage reissue. The assembly and setup was done by Rob DiStefano here in NJ, who does great work. He installed a bone nut and set it up for nice low action. Its currently sporting a like-new set of Sadowsky black label flatwounds. The weight of the bass is 8 lbs 13 oz. Its an absolute joy to play and I wouldnt think of selling it if I didnt need the money for something else right now. As an added bonus, it will ship in a brand new Mono M80 case in Jet Black. The buyer can have my slightly used copy of the book mentioned above if theyd like. The price is $1050 plus actual shipping cost to your location from zip code 07094. Not interested in trades thanks for looking.
Oh man, what a beauty. I have been thinking about sourcing a body like this to match a neck I have. But this is a thing of beauty.
