SOLD Mid 90's G&L SB-1 in Metallic Silver Finish. W/ OHSC $500 KY IN TN OH

Picked this up on a whim but in reality I already have the (Precision) basses covered. In pretty great condition for a 20+ year old instrument. The imperfections worth noting:

- Some tarnishing on the tuning keys and bridge which may be able to be buffed off (I haven't tried).
- A couple small imperfections in the factory finish that are very hard to photograph.
-One small ding on the E side of the neck near the first position.
- A bit of discoloration is just beginning to appear on the edges of the fretboard.
- A small bubble/wave has developed on the E side of the pick guard, where you might normally stick a pick. It has raised a bit between the screws.
- Some buckle rash on the back of the bass.
- Recently noticed a slight split in the fretboard at the heel (pics in post #17). I've had this bass for a while, played it a lot and A) never even noticed this split until a couple days ago and B) never had any issues with stability, playability, or anything else. I would be inclined to say it's cosmetic only but I'm not a luthier so I won't say for certain. I've attached some photos, including a new photo of some buckle rash that I noticed on the back as well.

Electronics work just fine, frets don't show any significant wear.

No trades, drastic price drop to reflect the issues noted. $500 picked up in central KY (42718).

 

Received a question about the weight of the bass...

Using my cheap bathroom scale I got weights between 8.8lb-9.4lb. So I'd say around, or just over 9lb.

 

long story short, bass was sold but is now back in my possession and up for grabs.

to answer the questions -

nut width is either 1 5/8" or 1 11/16". i don't have a precise rule or caliper and it's just hard for me to tell. no idea on wood species...the spec sheet isn't with the documentation that I have.

really looking for a quick sale so hit me with offers.

Ok guys. Back up for grabs. While packing the bass up for shipment, I noticed a slight split in the fretboard at the heel. Buyer backed out so I'm offering it up as is. I've had this bass for a while, played it a lot and A) never even noticed this split until 2 days ago and B) never had any issues with stability, playability, or anything else. I would be inclined to say it's cosmetic only but I'm not a luthier so I won't say for certain.
