  1. Aside from the Axon and Yamaha G-50 units, has anyone out there tried anything else such as the newer units from Roland, the GI-10 and GI-20?

  2. anyone?
  3. Axon is the only real choice for bass. :)
At least in my experiences. By the way it works
best with piezo but their pickup is not too bad, I've used
it on fretted and fretless 6's and the B actually works,
allthough it is a little slower response.
  4. Ive not used Rolands unit either, just the Axon. The axon worked Okay, that the best I can say. You can't play fast nor complicated, but for moderate tempo stuff the unit seems to track acceptably.
Interestingly, even roland states that using the midi convetors will not be as satisfactory as using their Vbass unit (which of course is not a midi unit)

Yeah, the Axon was good. As expected, it tracks better on the higher notes.
